Poison
Poison (p.107)
| Poison in Oath-Bound falls under the non-combat harm model. It bypasses hit points entirely — a poisoned character is not damaged in the combat survivability sense. They are subject to a qualitative harm whose severity and outcome the GM determines based on the nature of the poison, the dose, the circumstances, and the character’s relevant competencies and condition. |
The PHB’s poison categories and lethality levels are a useful reference for severity. They are not applied as automatic table results. A character who has been poisoned is in a situation the GM adjudicates, not a mechanical state that resolves itself by formula.
Constitution saving throws against poison apply as written through the d100 saving throw model.
